Getting a jump on the holidays...
SCRAP THIS IDEA....
I spent some time scrapping today and had some fun with with my line of Clearly Creative Acrylic Albums in the new Round shape. Check out this Holiday Ornament I made featuring my daughter Jessica. Photo taken by Tina Nitz photography.
INSTRUCTIONS:
To create this project I use Adirondak "snowcap" Dabber around the edges - kinda looks like snow.
The scallop paper is not a scrapbook product, it's an invitation from a cute store called Swoozies. I doodled the edges with a Sukura white pen, added rub-ons. The photo is attached to the scalloped paper.
On top of the acrylic I added the Me and My Big Ideas Bling, and Felt Fusion. Because my albums are real ACRYLIC, not just clear plastic, they do not bend - these embellishments will not fall off and even when handled this ornament will not bend.
The finishing touches are May Art Ribbon to create a loop to hang the ornament and another decorative piece at the bottom.
This is a very quick and easy project. Perfect for family gifts and keepsakes!

Live from my Scrapbook Room
NEWS FLASH - I have actually created first
"for fun" layout in my new Scrap Studio...
I broke out the new Cricut too - LOVE IT!!!!
The chipboard is Magistical Memories - Fabulous, I used a base coat of white acrylic paint then added yellow, orange and pink, and finished up by hand doodling. Love how it looks like the chipboard sparkles.
FINALLY - things are settling down in the new house and
I have somehow managed to bring some order to my new
Scrapbook Studio...here are a few photos.
The large shelves are from IKEA - they hold TONS of stuff. I have one to house my supplies of my on-line store www.Scrapbook-Oasis.com and the other is by my desk and hold all of my photo printing supplies and office stuff.
There are three art tables, purchased from Target.
They are pretty much a knock off of the
Pottery Barn art tables, exact same design and
dimensions, 1/3 the price!
The cubes are by Making Memories, and are left over
from my old studio - which was obviously white
- soooo they don't match but I am to overwhelmed to deal with replacing them now.
I am far from done, but the room is at least functional
and I can really enjoy my new space!

Blog Impaired....A Store is born
I am SO BLOG IMPAIRED....what's wrong with me?? I have tons to say... just no time to get over here and share it with you. And on the RARE occasion that I DO HAVE ONE SINGLE MOMENT - well that's about the only time I have nothing to say!!
So I hereby vow to be a better blogger!!
General Updates:
The new house is just as fabulous (my favorite word lately). I love everything about it. We have the most awesome neighbors, how cool is that?
My Scrapbook Studio is coming along nicely. If I had not decided to launch a webstore this month - I would probably have been done decorating by now.
Webstore - yep that is what I said. This really happened by accident. And how exactly does a webstore happen by accident? Wellllll, it went down like this. We just hosted our 3rd, and largest Scrapbook Vacation Club Event in Daytona Beach, which was the most amazing - more about that later. Anyway, we had a title sponsor, who due to unforeseen circumstances, had to back out. HOLY COW!! We were kinda in a lurch, having no title sponsor at 66 hour crop event. Yeah the chances of us making out of there alive were slim to none.
Soooo, we pooled our resources, rolled up our sleeves and built our own Scrapbook Oasis Vendor booth. It was a lot to take on, 'cause remember we were already hosting our largest event at a new venue, teaching classes and NOW adding this endeavor.
Well at the end of the event it all really worked out. Left exhausted and having scrapped nothing, we were satisfied with how all of the efforts paid off. HUGE thanks to all of staff and volunteers who really made it come together.
So, then we roll back into town. Gosh my Suburban was not quite as full as it was when we rolled out, but there was still a lot of merchandise to contend with. Not to mention we ordered tons so of stuff that did not arrive in time to take to the event. GASP!! Now WHAT???
Well, that is how the Scrapbook Oasis Store was born. The advantage of having an established website that already catered to our Scrapbook Vacation Club clients, obviously is a huge advantage, so we have worked hard to enter that masses of inventory on hand - that may take forever.
But hey we have a pretty good start here so please check it out!!! www.Scrapbook-Oasis.com
Woohoo!
